What are massage therapists really thinking?

Ever wonder what your massage therapist is really thinking about while you are thinking “Did I shave my legs?” This pretty much is exactly what I am thinking about while treating my clients. Massage Therapy: Cost Effective Solution for Back Pain

Study Shows Massage Therapy is Cost-Effective This study shows that Massage Therapy might be the most effective treatment to improve quality of life for back pain patients among other non-physician practitioners. It also demonstrates that Massage Therapy, along with other specialities such as osteopathic, family/general, internal medicine doctors, and chiropractors were more cost-effective than other specialties for the treatment of back pain. Side note: Currently there is some controversy about the effects of Massage Therapy for low back pain. Some studies show that it is effective, and other show that it may not be so. There seems to be a correlation but causation has yet to be determined. Be skeptical.

More Than “Just a Massage”

If you love massage, we can make it work for you in any condition you are in. I came across this video about Oncology Massage and this therapist did a great job articulating how I feel about every massage therapy treatment I provide. I try to listen to your body with your input and provide the best possible treatment that is relevant to what your body needs in that moment. Sure, when indicated, I might suggest a treatment.

Ayelet has been with JBRMT now for about two months so far and will be taking on more hours to accommodate the demand for her treatments. “Whether you are recovering from an injury, want relief from muscular tension, suffer from chronic pain or are looking to reduce stress, your experience while in my care is my priority. A vital part of my practice philosophy involves creating a safe space where clients are comfortable asking questions and feel empowered.
